About Us

Kathryn Peterson
I've been a mother for 28 years and I currently have a middle school child. I retired from a 27 year career as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist in September, 2007.

I've been working part time in website development, authoring content for other local small business websites. I was inspired to open my mind and heart and look for a homespun, Flagstaff-based business idea that suits my values and style.

Recently, while volunteering at Flagstaff Middle School, I overheard another volunteer (and mother of four) bemoan the fact that Flagstaff has no used sports equipment outlet. I joined the conversation which included our expression of disappointment that we were paying retail for FUSD approved school clothes at big box stores sending most of that money out of our community.

Within moments of this conversation, I knew I'd found what I was looking for. The foundation for my business plan was born.

I called my brilliant friend (and mother of three) Kristin Brown because her organizational skills are superior. She enthusiastically said, "I'm in". We presented it to my employer and truly gifted software developer at TrailsWeb, Josh Whitman. He volunteered our office here on Fourth St. as the initial drop-off center. He will be developing a custom F.U.S.E. inventory tracking database as our supply grows.

Between the three of us, and with the participation of Flagstaff families, we have all the vision, follow-through skills and technical support to evolve into Flagstaff's finest clearinghouse for a wide array of gently used sports equipment and school uniforms.

Thank you for visiting our site!! We invite you to spring clean, liberate your closets, garages and storage sheds. Bring them to Uptown Billiards and collect valuable trade in credit. Help us get off to a great start!

Our success is good for Flagstaff Families!
